Wigwam Socks as a Gift Idea

Many people are interested in shopping. No matter how much money a person has it seems like getting a good deal is important. People that do a lot of shopping cannot believe that someone would pay full price for something. I love to shop. For me there is no question that I will comparison shop for a couple days if I am looking for a particular item. My husband does not understand this. He walks into a store finds something he likes and he buys it. If it is on sale it is an added bonus.

Many people are interested in shopping. No matter .....

This kind of shopping is fine if we are looking for items for him. However if we are shopping for gifts then I insist that we look around. Whenever I am going shopping with my husband I make a list. He gets distracted very easily and having a list helps to keep him focused. If we are buying a gift for someone I will talk to him about ideas prior to getting into the stores. This year for the holidays he wanted to get his brothers warm socks for hunting. They had taken a hunting trip together and two of his brothers were complaining about cold feet. We went to a sporting goods store and they had wigwam socks on sale. This is a brand that I used to wear when I did a great deal of hiking. The wigwam socks are warm, they keep your feet dry and they wear very well. We had several things on our list so I started to put the four pairs of wigwam socks into the cart. My husband picked this time to do some comparison shopping. He wanted to compare the weight of the socks, the fabric blend and washing instructions of the wigwam socks compared to a different brand. After several minutes of reading labels he decided that the two pairs were very similar. He asked why we would not go with the brand that he liked. I pointed out to him that the wigwam socks were on sale and that they were almost half the cost of his brand. He finally agreed that we should buy the wigwam socks.

We went into another aisle to look for a gift for our nephew. Again we had decided we would buy him a pocket knife prior to coming into the store. I pushed the cart to the knife counter and turned to talk to my husband. He had not followed me to the knife counter. I back tracked and found him in the shoe department talking to a man that was trying on boots. As I approached he thanked the man for his time and started walking towards me. He said that when he walked passed the shoe section he noticed that his man had wigwam socks on so he wanted to know if he liked them. I could not believe that one gift idea would cause him to be so indecisive.
